Who can see what
BrideSquad is built so organizers can plan surprises and keep sensitive details private. Here's exactly what each person in your squad can view.
Organizers & Co-organizers
See everything. All Plan, Calendar, Ideas, and Expenses items — including anything hidden from others.
Can use Hide from on any Plan, Calendar, or Idea item to keep it from the bride or specific members.
A small badge appears on hidden items so organizers always know what's hidden and from whom.
The Bride
Sees all Plan, Calendar, and Ideas items unless an organizer hid one from her.
Hidden items either disappear entirely or show as a blurred 🔒 Hidden by organizer card — the organizer chooses which, per item.
Can view and complete her Bride Brief, and see squad members.
Squad Members
See all Plan, Calendar, and Ideas items unless an organizer hid one from them.
Can add ideas, vote on polls, RSVP, and comment — depending on the permissions the organizer set.
Cannot see Squad Insights, edit the squad, or hide items from others.

Expense visibility is based on ownership and participation, not hide-from.
You see expenses you created, payments you owe or are owed, and shared expenses you're splitting.

A note on trust: Hide-from is an organizer convenience designed for planning surprises — it hides items from the app's normal views, but it isn't a hard security boundary. For truly sensitive information, share it privately outside the app.
